    Wednesday September 18
    The answer to yesterday’s trivia is shipping terminals, a marina and properties. The Port of Everett operates shipping terminals covering nearly 100 acres of land, a marina with moorage for 2,300 boats and properties which includes 900 acres of developable land and 45 leases managed by Port staff.


    Thursday September 19
    This weekend is the annual Everett Coho Derby at the Port of Everett Marina! The Everett Coho Derby has grown into one of the largest family-friendly derbies around. Each year, Everett welcomes more than 2,000 participants, adults and kids, to celebrate the annual return of the Coho salmon to our local streams.     Tuesday September 10

    Tonight is a Public Hearing on the Mukilteo Tank Farm Transfer at the Port of Everett Commission Meeting. The public is welcome to attend this meeting starting at 5 p.m.  in the Blue Heron Room at Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.

     

    Wednesday September 11

    Today, the Ports of Seattle, Tacoma and Everett will be briefing the Joint Transportation Committee on the importance of Puget Sound Ports

     

    Thursday September 12

    Summer still isn’t over! Come down this afternoon and enjoy the last little bit of summer sun on one of the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Trails including the Marina District Waterfront Loop or Pigeon Creek Trail!

So come down and enjoy live music, food vendors, a Scuttlebutt beer garden, and of course great cars tomorrow between 10:00am – 4:00pm at the Port of Everett Marina!

    There are a lot of waterfront events happening today! First, Bayside Marine at the Port of Everett Marina will be holding the weigh-in for the Edmonds Coho Derby this morning. Right next door at Waterfront Center, the Wheels on the Waterfront Car Show will be held between 10:00am – 4:00pm.     Only one week left of Jetty Island Days! The Jetty Island ferry runs through Labor Day so be sure to get down to Jetty Landing at The Port of Everett Marina this week!

    Do you have big Labor Day plans that include swimming, boating or simply just floating? Be sure to keep a few things in mind this weekend. First, remember flotation devices! On average, two people die every day on American waterways and you can help prevent this. It is the law to have one life preserver for each person on the boat but it only helps if you are wearing them! Second, be sure to read up on the new Boating Under the Influence Laws that were passed in July: http://www.parks.wa.gov/newsreleases/?number=%2013-021.  Be safe and have a great Labor Day Weekend!

    The trail is nearly 4 miles long! The trail allows you to walk or ride from the Pigeon Creek Public Access trail, which is behind the shipping terminals, down West Marine View Drive, throughout the marina waterfront and beyond Legion Park.     Tonight is another Waterfront Concert! Family friendly and free admission! Come down and enjoy Indie Pop Rock music by Sirsy. Music starts at 6:30pm at Port Gardner Landing. Only five more concerts left, including tonight so don’t miss out on the fun!

    Happy Sunday! Enjoy the last little bit of the weekend down at the Everett Farmer’s Market and walk down the street to listen to Balken Flamenco music by Amir Beso!
